July marks the start of Smart Irrigation Month. Throughout the month, the Irrigation Association invites industry professionals to help promote efficient irrigation practices by sharing real-world examples with customers, communities and elected officials.

The year’s campaign features easy-to-use outreach tools that highlight smart irrigation applications and practices in action while spotlighting the industry’s $30+ billion contribution to the U.S. economy. The industry also supports more than 200,000 jobs in agriculture, landscape and communities nationwide.

Ready-to-use materials are available online, making it easier for irrigation to professionals participate without having to create content from scratch.

Industry professionals can get involved by:

  • Connecting with local media by sharing water-efficiency success stories or offering expertise on smart irrigation practices.
  • Participating in Wear Blue Wednesday on July 15 by wearing blue, posting photos on social media and using #SmartIrrigationMonth.
  • Sharing customer success stories that demonstrate how efficient irrigation saves water, supports landscapes and improves operational performance.

Follow the IA on social media to stay engaged, access new content and see how irrigation professionals across the country are sharing their Smart Irrigation Month stories.
