The 2023 Irrigation Show and Education Week offers attendees the opportunity to gain fundamental and practical skills, access cutting-edge research and learn business best practices shared by experts during the event’s Industry Insights series.

One of those sessions, “Decision Support for Fertigation – Opportunities for Enhanced Efficiency in Irrigated Agriculture,” will be presented by Jackson Stansell, CEO and founder of Sentinel Fertigation.

According to Stansell, the presentation will focus on a few topics, including the following:

  • a brief review of the current state of fertigation
  • an overview of near real-time fertigation decision support using geospatial agronomic data and satellite imagery
  • a review of research results from developmental on-farm trials
  • an understanding of enabling the fertigation method with software and automation
  • a review of early trial results from Sentinel research in 2023

Stansell says he hopes attendees gain a broader awareness of technical advancement in fertigation, consumer awareness of the opportunities in using data to inform fertigation management and awareness of trial results.

For Stansell, the Industry Insights session is an opportunity to share more information about the benefits of fertigation and satellite imagery technology.

Industry Insights are available at no cost to Irrigation Show and Education Week attendees.
