IA hosts ‘Coffee with the IA’ webinars

The Irrigation Association is hosting a free “Coffee with the IA” webinar series. The series will include six webinars scheduled from Sept. 28 to Nov. 2.

The Irrigation Association is hosting a free “Coffee with the IA” webinar series. The series will include six webinars scheduled from Sept. 28 to Nov. 2. During the webinars, IA staff will sit down with today’s industry leaders and the 2021 award recipients. We’ll learn more about those who shaped the industry and discuss the latest with what’s going on at the IA.

The following webinars are scheduled:

Sept. 28 | The Latest IA News — IA Government and Public Affairs Director Coleman Garrison sits down with IA President Bryan Wynen, CIC, CLIA, CLWM, and IA CEO Deborah Hamlin, CAE, FASAE, to talk about what is happening at the IA and the latest with the 2021 Irrigation Show and Education Week. Get to know the IA president better and hear more about Hamlin’s retirement and plans moving forward.

Oct. 5 | Featured Guest Jackie Robbins — Sit down with 2021 Industry Achievement Award recipient Jackie Robbins, PhD, PE, CID, TSP, and learn about how this irrigation pioneer left an indelible mark on the industry and the Irrigation Association.

Oct. 12 | Featured Guest Angelo Mazzei — Listen in as 2021 Industry Achievement Award recipient Angelo Mazzei talks about his career that began in his garage and has culminated in leading a successful irrigation company and creating multiple innovative solutions to solve irrigation issues.

Oct. 19 | Featured Guest Florence Cassel Sharma — Excellence in Education Award recipient Florence Cassel Sharma, PhD, comes for coffee to discuss her work at California State University-Fresno and the Center for Irrigation Technology. Hear about how she goes above and beyond to help her students find success in the classroom and in their careers.

Oct. 26 | Featured Guest Reece Andrews — It’s all about innovation as Reece Andrews, 2021 Innovator Award recipient, joins this webinar. Hear about his work in developing industry-advancing technologies to support growers in the field.

Nov. 2 | Meet the IA President-Elect — Get to know incoming IA President John Newlin, CIC, CIT, CLIA, and hear the latest about what you can expect at the 2021 Irrigation Show.
