Reinke expands Kansas operations with acquisition of Scott Specialties assets

Reinke Manufacturing has acquired the industrial assets of Scott Specialties Inc. in Belleville, Kansas, following the orthopedic soft goods manufacturer’s decision to close. The deal includes Scott Specialties’ facilities, equipment and real estate holdings, and paves the way for former employees to transition into careers in precision irrigation manufacturing.

“We’ve always taken pride in being a good employer and community partner,” said Jim McDonald, president of Scott Specialties. “While the decision to close was incredibly difficult, our priority was to ensure that our employees—many of whom have been with us for decades—had a path forward. Doing this with Reinke allows us to do just that.”

The acquisition establishes a second Reinke operational center in Belleville and reflects the company’s continued investment in rural communities and agricultural water efficiency.

Reinke President Chris Roth emphasized the company’s commitment to skilled craftsmanship and welcomed Scott Specialties’ team into a growing sector focused on global irrigation solutions.
