Tractor Supply Co., Brentwood, Tennessee, and apparel company Carhartt, Dearborn, Michigan, amassed a $100,000 donation through a shirt campaign to SkillsUSA, according to an Ag Daily article. The partnership between Tractor Supply and Carhartt came about in summer 2021 to help close the skilled trades gap.
“Support the Trades” campaign shirts designed by Carhartt were available in Tractor Supply retail locations and on its website. A portion of each shirt sold went toward both companies’ donation commitment to SkillsUSA, a nonprofit that serves middle school, high school and college students moving toward careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. Altogether, Tractor Supply and Carhartt each donated $50,000 via the campaign.
Tractor Supply, Carhartt and SkillsUSA executives, as well as SkillsUSA students and advisors attended a check presentation ceremony in Tennessee.
