At the upcoming 2024 Irrigation Show and Education Week in Long Beach, California, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the use of artificial intelligence in the green industry during the session “AI Solutions for Modern Irrigation: From Comprehensive Models to Field-Specific Fine-Tuning.” This session aims to offer practical insights on how AI can help optimize business operations and streamline workflows for irrigation professionals and contractors.
The session will highlight AI tools that can automate routine tasks, improve decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. By integrating AI technologies, irrigation professionals can optimize water use, reduce labor and manage complex systems more effectively.
According to Kevin Battistoni, national customer experience manager at Hunter Industries, who will lead the session, he has spent the past year and a half immersing himself in AI technology. After integrating AI tools into his daily life, as well as learning from industry experts and completing an MIT course on AI, Battistoni is prepared to share his knowledge with others in the green industry. He emphasizes the practical application of AI and how contractors can use it to save time and improve their workflows.
“I don’t just learn AI — I live it. After a year and a half of immersion, I’m ready to show you how these tools can transform your work in the green industry,” says Battistoni. “Get ready to rethink how you manage time and processes in your day-to-day operations.”
The goal is to demonstrate how these tools can be integrated into everyday business operations, making AI accessible to contractors in the green industry, according to Battistoni.
