The U.S. Department of Agriculture opened nominations for Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committees on June 16, 2026. Farmers and ranchers nationwide are encouraged to apply because their participation contributes to shaping how federal farm programs are delivered at the local level, including decisions related to conservation, disaster assistance and commodity support.

To be eligible for nomination, individuals must be involved in farming or ranching operations, live within the local administrative area and complete the FSA-669A nomination form.

Committee members are elected by their peers and serve as a direct link between USDA programs and the producers they are designed to support. Nominations are open through early August, with elections scheduled later this year. Contact your local FSA office with questions and visit fsa.usda.gov/coc for more information.
