PepsiCo celebrates reaching its goal of 100% water replenishment in high water-risk areas. At the same time, the company met its goals for advancing adoption of the Alliance for Water Stewardship Standard across key operations. The milestone supports the company’s broader goal to become Net Water Positive by 2030, reducing absolute water use and replenishing more than it consumes.
As part of the strategy set in 2022, PepsiCo is directing investment toward water recycling, reuse and watershed restoration, including tree plantings, rainwater harvesting and wetlands rehabilitation. The company also signaled increased funding to scale drip irrigation and other water-saving technologies across its agricultural supply chain.
The company emphasized that water stewardship remains a core part of its broader sustainability agenda, particularly as water scarcity intensifies globally. By combining operational improvements with partnerships, PepsiCo aims to reduce water risk while supporting long-term resilience in the communities and agricultural systems where it operates.
