The California AgTech Alliance announced that its Innovation Grants Program is now accepting applications. Applicants can apply for service vouchers of up to $50,000 per project to help agtech founders test, validate and bring new technology to market.

Through the vouchers, agtech innovators gain access to specialized services from participating farms, research centers, business advisors and laboratories. UC Agriculture and Natural Resources administers the program and pays participants directly. An estimated $1.7 million is available and does not require matching funds.

  • Applicants can be based or incorporated anywhere as long as the project demonstrates a clear benefit to California agriculture.
  • All voucher-funded services must occur in California.
